Privacy Policy

We're committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we handle your data

Last Updated: February 2025

At tieinlistapp, your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage your data. We've designed our practices to align with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and international standards.

Look, privacy policies can be dense. We've tried to make this one straightforward. But if something isn't clear or you have specific questions, just reach out to us directly.

Information We Collect

We collect information that helps us provide better financial analysis education. Here's what that includes:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number when you register for our programs or contact us
  • Educational Data: Course progress, assessment results, learning preferences, and materials you access
  • Technical Information: Device type, browser information, IP address, and how you interact with our platform
  • Communication Records: Messages you send us, feedback you provide, and support conversations
  • Payment Details: Transaction information when you enroll in paid programs (note: credit card details are handled by secure payment processors, not stored by us)

We don't collect more than we need. And we're always thinking about whether each piece of information serves a real purpose for your experience.

How We Use Your Data

Your information helps us run our educational programs effectively. Here's how we use it:

Purpose Description
Program Delivery Providing access to course materials, tracking your progress, and personalizing your learning experience
Communication Sending program updates, educational resources, and responding to your inquiries
Platform Improvement Analyzing how learners use our platform to enhance content and fix technical issues
Security Protecting your account, preventing fraud, and maintaining platform integrity
Legal Compliance Meeting regulatory requirements under Thailand's PDPA and other applicable laws

We don't sell your data to third parties. Period. That's not our business model and never will be.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Sometimes we need to share information with trusted partners who help us run our programs. Here's when and why:

Service Providers

We work with companies that handle specific functions like payment processing, email delivery, and cloud storage. These partners can only use your data for the services they provide to us, and they're contractually obligated to protect it.

Educational Partners

If you enroll in programs that involve collaboration with other educational institutions or industry partners, we may share relevant information with them. You'll always know when this applies before you sign up.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request. We'll notify you when legally permitted to do so.

We carefully vet any third party we work with. They must meet our standards for data protection and agree to handle your information responsibly.

How We Protect Your Information

Security isn't just a checkbox for us. Here's what we do to keep your data safe:

  • Industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis
  • Secure data centers with physical and digital protections
  • Multi-factor authentication options for your account
  • Regular backups to prevent data loss

No system is completely foolproof, and we won't pretend otherwise. But we take this seriously and continuously work to improve our security measures.

Your Rights Under Thailand's PDPA

Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act gives you specific rights over your information. Here's what you can do:

Right to Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We'll provide this within 30 days of your request.

Right to Correction

If your information is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. You can update most details directly in your account settings.

Right to Erasure

You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions like legal retention requirements or ongoing educational programs you're enrolled in.

Right to Data Portability

You can request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format to transfer to another service provider.

Right to Object

You can object to certain types of data processing, particularly for marketing purposes. We'll respect your preferences.

Right to Restrict Processing

In some circumstances, you can ask us to limit how we use your data while maintaining your account access.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by law.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it. Here's our general approach:

  • Active Accounts: We maintain your data while your account is active and you're engaged with our programs
  • Inactive Accounts: If you haven't logged in for 3 years, we may reach out before archiving or deleting your account
  • Course Materials: Access to completed course materials typically remains available for 2 years after program completion
  • Transaction Records: Financial records are retained for 7 years to comply with Thai accounting and tax regulations
  • Communications: Support conversations and correspondence are kept for 2 years unless legally required otherwise

When we delete data, we do so securely and thoroughly. Backups containing your information are also deleted according to our retention schedule.

Cookies and Tracking

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. Here's what you should know:

Essential Cookies

These keep the platform functioning. They remember your login status, language preferences, and basic settings. You can't disable these without losing core functionality.

Analytics Cookies

We use these to understand how people use our platform. This helps us improve content and fix problems. You can opt out of analytics tracking in your account settings.

Marketing Cookies

These remember your interests to show relevant content. We only use these if you've given consent, and you can withdraw that consent anytime.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly if you block all cookies.

International Data Transfers

Our primary servers are located in Thailand, but some of our service providers operate globally. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place:

  • Using providers certified under recognized data protection frameworks
  • Implementing standard contractual clauses approved by data protection authorities
  • Ensuring destination countries have adequate data protection laws
  • Encrypting data during transmission and storage

If you're based in Thailand and concerned about data leaving the country, we're happy to discuss the specific safeguards we have in place.

Children's Privacy

Our programs are designed for adults and professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old without parental consent.

If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. We'll delete that information from our systems.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our platform.

The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when we last revised this policy. We encourage you to review it periodically. Your continued use of our platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

Questions and Concerns

If something in this policy isn't clear, or if you have concerns about how we handle your data, we want to hear from you. Privacy questions shouldn't sit unanswered.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee if you believe we've mishandled your information. But we hope you'll give us the chance to address your concerns first.
